They Can Also Run - Part II

Some of you may remember that a number of swimmers from the Club took part in the Schools Biathlon at Bath University in February last year, with good success in an enjoyable event. One of that number, who recorded the highest finishing position that day, entered again this year.

Normally I would have expected to have seen Oscar Warren-Fisher at the County BagCats but he had the excellent excuse of being at the Schools Biathlon National Championship held at Crystal Palace, having won through the qualifying rounds. This was held on Sunday 27th March and Oscar finished a fantastic 27th in his age group. Note that this is not a County event, nor even Regional but a National Final. Many congratulations to Oscar on such a great effort and result (Results Here).

For those of you who are ever challenged to any sort of race by Oscar, be very careful before accepting...

They can run as well as swim!

There was a good turn out from Corsham ASC members for the Schools’ Biathlon Qualifier at Bath Uni on 24 Jan. There was personal glory for Oliver and Oscar Warren-Fisher (representing King Edwards) who both finished in the top 6 for their age groups and a team gold for Victoria Lewis, Megan Trollope and Amelia Lias (representing The Corsham School) in the Yr 9 Girls competition. Well done to all the above and: Emma Mortimer, Peter Ammel, Duncan Wilson, Calum Pheby, Hannah Lias, Bobbi Lang, Ella Golledge, Madeleine Moore and Nesta Unwin.
