A Team and B Team Winter league final Winners!

C Team Excel at Tidworth (from Alan Hall)

Many congratulations to the small band of Corsham swimmers who swam so well at Tidworth last night. With the late withdrawal of Tigersharks, Corsham's sole opponents were Pewsey & Tidworth (complete with "blow up" Killer Whale), who competed gamely but had to give best to the visitors on the night.

Club Records Posted

A Spreadsheet containing all the club records as well as the sprint and championship records is available under "Documents/Times and Results" in the members section.

Hint: Use the selector at the top of the columns to select the records you want to view, otherwise there are a lot of numbers to look at. E.g. you can select "14" at the top of the Age column to view all the records for 14 year olds only. Select "Free" and "100" to view all the 100m Freestyle records.

Have fun

Salisbury Open - April 19th

A small, but enthusiastic team of Corsham swimmers attending the recent Open meet in Salisbury. The relaxed atmosphere and excellent pool coupled with a good medal haul and numerous PBs made for an enjoyable day for all. For the girls, Elizabeth Harris struck Silver three times in the 50m Backstroke, 100m IM & 50m Free, before finally grabbing a well deserved Gold in a thrilling 50m Fly.

Corsham Junior Gala, 25 April 2009

It was a great pleasure to welcome the reconstituted Calne Alfa 4 swimming club along with Malmesbury swimming club to take part in the Corsham junior gala on saturday. It was also a good oportunity to give as many young swimmers as possible the chance to take part in a gala early in their swimming careers as Corsham fielded two teams.

Qualifying Times for Wilts A.S.A Age Group

Hi. Julia has asked me to post the Wiltshire A.S.A. Age Group Qualifying Times. You'll need to have access to the Members Area to be able to see these.

Also, do you want to know if you had any Personal Best (PB) times at Saturday's Gala? These will be posted shortly in the Members Area once Julia has checked them.

If there's anything you'd like adding to the site please have a go at posting your request into the forum and I'll make sure a Club Official responds.

Corsham 'A' Take Top Place

28th Feb '09 "Winter League - Finals"

Hearing that B is for brave I can confirm that A is for Awesome, the team on the night were absolutely tremendous after a slow start in the first 3 races one,1st and two,3rd we then won 6 on the trot and went on to win a total of 27 races, 6, 2nd 5, 3rd and 1, 5th place.

Corsham B - That's B for Brave!

A heavily depleted Corsham B team made the trip to Salisbury to battle against some of the County's A teams and despite finishing last on the night, came away with their heads held high and still smiling. They also stayed poolside to congratulate winners Durrington on their success, which goes to prove that even the smaller towns in Wiltshire can beat those with larger reputations.

Winter League 2

10th January 2009

Back in Trowbridge for the second time this year, CORSHAM A again put on another fine display, finishing 2nd on the night. Most pleasing was the consistency. Even though outright wins were scarce, there was a constant flow of 2nd and 3rd places across all the age groups.
