B Team Victorious in Winter League Final!!!

Words cannot convey just how well Corsham's B team swam tonight, a fitting climax to a Winter league season which began last November at the Link Centre in Swindon. Tonight's final was against three "A" teams from Melksham, Swindon ASC & Westbury, to whom must go equal credit for turning this into one of the tightest galas the Club has been involved in for some years.  Click "Read more" for full story.

Corsham Centre Stage in Costume Drama!

Corsham B Round 1 Winter League. It’s always a relief not to have any late drop outs on gala day, particularly with all of the viruses going the rounds at present. And even the horrendous weather was not a deterrent to those hardy souls who make up Corsham’s B team. Having splashed up the motorway to the Link centre in Swindon, the team was ready to pick up the challenge once again, after a stunning series of performances in the Summer league. Opponents on the evening were the “A” teams from Swindon, Westbury and Wootton Bassett, plus Dolphins C and Trowbridge C. Not an easy task then, but that’s what the swimmers train for.

Corsham B - That's B for Brave!

A heavily depleted Corsham B team made the trip to Salisbury to battle against some of the County's A teams and despite finishing last on the night, came away with their heads held high and still smiling. They also stayed poolside to congratulate winners Durrington on their success, which goes to prove that even the smaller towns in Wiltshire can beat those with larger reputations.

Winter League 2

10th January 2009

Back in Trowbridge for the second time this year, CORSHAM A again put on another fine display, finishing 2nd on the night. Most pleasing was the consistency. Even though outright wins were scarce, there was a constant flow of 2nd and 3rd places across all the age groups.
