Sprints

The start of the Wiltshire 2011 County Championships saw a number of swimmers from Corsham travelling to Milton Road for the Sprints. A great group of swimmers not only in performance and capability but also in terms of supporting each other. This is how we like to operate as a club and I was impressed with everyone there and how they worked together.

 Sunday 6^th February sees the start of the 2011 County Championships with the Sprints being held at Milton Road, Swindon. The Club is sending a team of swimmers who have worked hard to achieve the qualifying times and will be competing in a number of races.

The Sprints are just that, each race in each stroke being 1 length, although it must be said thet the Milton Road pool is 33m long.

There will be NO junior or senior squad sessions due to the Club Sprints.

The Club Sprints will take place on the 27th June & 11th July.  For those who don't know, this is an club event where all strokes are swum over 50m (except u/10 fly which is 25m).  Positions are given for each age group on a Heat Declared basis, i.e. all age groups are mixed up and heats seeded according to entry time.  Then the positions in each age group are determined by the times swum at the gala.  More info and an entry form are attached.
