Easter Training Course - Pewsey 2012
Each year at Easter the Wiltshire County ASA run a 5-day taining course taking swimmers from across the county. This is an excellent training environment run by top coaches and provides sessions in the pool, theory, gym work and outdoor activities. The deadline for completed forms with payment is February 20th.
This has proven very popular with our swimmers, many of whom return year after year as there is great camaraderie and they learn and develop as well as making new friends from other clubs who they then meet at Galas.
Bath Training Cancelled - Thursday September 15th
Please note that the swimming session for Corsham ASC at Bath on Thursday September 15th from 8-9pm has been cancelled due to the filming in the pool.
Bath University Pool - New Regulations
The following message has been received from the Sports Facilities Officer at Bath University. This message is going out to all Bath University Pool users as a reminder of the appropriate practices which should be adhered to when using the pool. Please note the information on lockers
1) Changing before and after swimming should only take place in the changing
rooms. No changing at anytime is allowed on poolside.
2) No kitbags or clothes are to be placed on poolside. All clothes, shoes
and personal items are to be stored in the lockers provided which are all
now coin returnable (20p per locker).
3) Swimmers will not be allowed to access the pool via the door near the
Sports Café. This entrance is for spectators only. Swimmers should enter via
the wetside changing rooms and leave all belongings in the lockers.

FREE Bowen Therapy tasters during Friday training
Rob Johnson has arranged for Neil Gibson from NG Bowen to come to Corsham during Friday night training. He will set up poolside for any swimmer who has muscular problems and will give taster treatments to try and help alleviate their pain whilst swimming. Hopefully we'll get a good turnout and feel free to ask for his services. For more information check the following link
Changes to Monday Training Times from February 28th
As you may be aware the Club has recently appointed a new Head Coach, Sarah Lewis. Sarah and the Coaching Team have been reviewing the structure of the training sessions with a view to making improvements to further support the development of all the swimmers in all the groups. This has led to the creation of a new squad session (TAGS) which does affect the training times on Mondays from February 28th as detailed below.

Young Volunteers Project 2011
The Young Volunteers programme involves young volunteers aged from 15-19 years of age (volunteers can be 14 but must be 15 years of age by the end of March 2011) from clubs, schools, or local colleges being invited to assist with activities within a Swim21 club environment and gain an insight in to the role and structure and management of a voluntary sports club. There will be NO junior or senior squad sessions due to the Club Sprints.
