Come on in - the water's lovely
Open Water swimming might not be top of everyone's list of things to do, but with the 10km event becoming an established fixture on the Olympic and World calender and the growing popularity of the Great Swim series, perhaps it's something that all competitive pool swimmers should try (at least once!)
Wilts County host two events over the summer months at Lake 32 in the Cotswold Water Park:
- 3km on Wednesday 7th July 2010
- 1.5km (or 750m for 11 year olds) on Wednesday 14th July.

B Team Victorious in Winter League Final!!!
Words cannot convey just how well Corsham's B team swam tonight, a fitting climax to a Winter league season which began last November at the Link Centre in Swindon. Tonight's final was against three "A" teams from Melksham, Swindon ASC & Westbury, to whom must go equal credit for turning this into one of the tightest galas the Club has been involved in for some years. Corsham 'A' Excel at the Link
By Alan McRae (Head Coach). Round 3 of the Winter League again produced some excellent swims from our swimmers. The competition was hard with strong teams from league leaders Trowbridge A and Bradford on Avon. Our younger age group again worked hard in all events although the boys are finding the opposition very tough, the girls however produced some great results winning the medley relay and gaining two 2nds and a 3rd place so well done to Libby, Lucy, Hannah and Ebony.

With all of them competiting in the same heat it set up a mini battle between themselves. Peter ended up being the first swimmer home, with Jonathan (who knocked well over half minute off his PB) narrowly beating Freddie.

Stephanie's Medals
It is hoped that most Club members will know that Stephanie Millward, 2008 Beijing paralympian, started her swimming career at Corsham ASC. Since returning from Beijing, she has presented prizes at the 2008 Club Presentation evening and been a regular visitor to Club as a guest coach. Judging by the response from our swimmers, Stephanie has been a real inspiration and we are delighted that she has continued to come back and see us, as her training schedule permits.
