Winter League Round 1 - A Team Report

Corsham were the hosts for the first round of this years winter league with guests Swindon Dolphins A and B, plus Marlborough Penguins.  In short, it was very good and I hope the swimmers all enjoyed it as much as I.  As a team, we were competitive across all age groups and enjoyed several fine overall wins.  No small achievement against the Dolphins A team.  Whilst the wins are very satisfying, I found the battling display from other races equally pleasing. Even when coming in 4th the swimmers still showed great commitment and this is encouraging for future rounds.

At the end, Corsham were second on the night, and though it's too soon to know where we came overall I'd like to think that another division 1 final is a possibility, which would be terrific.   Still improvements to be made on some basics such as takeovers, finishes, etc, so let's keep working and training hard and come out even stronger at the next round on Jan 14th.  Well done to all.
