Masters Wilts County - Massive Medal Haul

The largest Masters team (in recent times) to compete at the Wiltshire County Masters returned home from Trowbridge with 19 medals (7 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze). 

Making their debuts in Masters events were Heather Knight (2S,2B), Michael Edmundson (1G, 2S), Sean Browne (1B) and Ben Bridgeman (1S,2B) - all rising to the challenge and enjoying the more relaxed atmosphere.

Not to be outdone, the 'experienced' swimmers carried on their rich vein of form.

Star of the evening (again) was Nikki Harris claiming 3 golds and lowering her county records in two events.  Andy Chapman claimed 3 golds and a bronze.

To round off the evening, the men took an amazing silver in the 4x25m freestyle relay. 

Overall, Corsham ended the evening in 4th place behind bigger teams.  A brialliant achievement and congratulations to all swimmers. 

The next gala is on 6th June at the Link in Swindon (100 back, 50 fly, 25 free and 100 breast).  More Masters are encouraged to join us for a fun evening and help us consolidate our position - especially ladies so that we can enter female relays.
