Stephanie's Medals
It is hoped that most Club members will know that Stephanie Millward, 2008 Beijing paralympian, started her swimming career at Corsham ASC. Since returning from Beijing, she has presented prizes at the 2008 Club Presentation evening and been a regular visitor to Club as a guest coach. Judging by the response from our swimmers, Stephanie has been a real inspiration and we are delighted that she has continued to come back and see us, as her training schedule permits. Now based in Swansea, Stephanie is aiming to represent Great Britain in the London 2010 Olympics and of course, we wish her every luck in her endeavours.
It was a great honour, therefore, to learn that Stephanie has loaned us the medals she won in the World Championship long & short course, held in Brazil & Iceland towards the end of last year. She has also loaned us her BBC Sports West Trophy, which was presented in 2009. Both this and her medals are now taking pride of place in the Club's Trophy Cabinet, which is to the left of the Springfield reception area. However, we have taken the liberty of taking a couple of photos of the medals & trophy, one with some of the Club's up and coming senior squad swimmers. We hope you like them. "
