ASA South West Young Volunteer Programme 2009/10

Here's a special note for all Club swimmers aged between 14 & 19. A fantastic opportunity is available to you to join the 2009/10 Young Volunteers Programme, sponsored by the ASA South West Region. Some of you are already helping the Club poolside. This programme will help you develop other skills, such as officiating, team & event management, and involvement with other swimming disciplines eg water polo. The programme is fully structured and will be mentored by one of the Club's coaching staff. Attendance at a Development Day is part of the programme, which will provide you with an opportunity to meet up with other volunteers from across the County. Above all, undertaking this programme will look very well on your CV and can assist with applications for further education.

Several of the Clubs swimmers have already undertaken the programme and attended the UK School Sports Games as volunteers. Hopefully, more of you will be inspired to sign up for the programme which, incidentally, is totally free.
