Corsham 'A' Take Top Place

28th Feb '09 "Winter League - Finals" 

Hearing that B is for brave I can confirm that A is for Awesome, the team on the night were absolutely tremendous after a slow start in the first 3 races one,1st and two,3rd we then won 6 on the trot and went on to win a total of 27 races, 6, 2nd 5, 3rd and 1, 5th place.

Nikki Harris showed why she is a Wiltshire champion with some tremendous frontcrawl sprinting, Laurence Meiklereid demonstrated his ability to be one of the best backstroke swimmers in the county. In the breaststroke we saw Lauren Jones and Amy McRae again dominate and for the boys Dominic Meiklereid,Richard Worthy and Alex Jones, in the backstroke Megan Trollope and Melissa Birkett displayed great talent along with Duncan Wilson, Huw Parks and Steve Worthy (who again travelled back from University to play his part in the final).

These are just a few names of what was on the night a great team performance and every swimmer should be proud of the display they put in not only for the club but their own individual performances.
Lets not forget the team managers, timekeepers and all the parents who came to support what was a great night for Corsham ASC.
